1. What is the end of HM2 support?
It means there will be no updates or technical support for HM2 after December 31, 2020.
HM2 users will be able to log-in and use the software but functionality such as the HUD and hand importing will be significantly impacted when poker sites release updates and/or add new game types. While we cannot predict the timing of future poker site updates, their cumulative impact on core HM2 features mentioned will be significant.
2. Why is HM2 support ending?
There have been hundreds of updates to HM2 in the almost 9 years since it’s release in 2011.
This decision was necessary because it’s time to invest our resources toward supporting more recent technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences.
3. Can I still use HM2?
HM2 users will be able to log-in and use the software but functionality such as the HUD and hand importing will be significantly impacted when poker sites release updates and/or add new game types. While we cannot predict the timing of future poker site updates, their cumulative impact on core HM2 features mentioned will be significant.
4. What should I do?
You should upgrade to HM3 now. Read about new features in HM3 Here.
5. Do I receive a discount when upgrading to HM3?
We are extending until October 15th, 2020 a 25% HM3 upgrade discount and we will authorize a new HM3 14 day free trial if yours has expired. Click here To request a HM3 trial extension.
An HM3 free trial DOES NOT extend the HM3 upgrade discount past October 15th, 2020. You must act before October 15th, 2020 to receive the 25% HM3 Upgrade discount.
We also offer several Get It Free options that can be used when upgrading to HM3.
6. Will there ever be another paid upgrade required after HM3?
No. There will never be another Hold’em Manager paid upgrade after HM3.
7. What is the Annual Support & Maintenance for HM3?
All customers that purchase an HM3 license, as well as customers that upgrade from HM2, receive one year of Annual Support & Maintenance FREE.
After the first year Annual Support & Maintenance pricing is as follows.
Holdem or Omaha: (Single)
- Holdem or Omaha Small Stakes = $25
- Holdem or Omaha Full Version = $40
Holdem & Omaha: (Combined Versions)
- Holdem & Omaha Small Stakes = $40
- Holdem & Omaha Full Version = $65
Holdem & Omaha (Mixed Combined Versions) Holdem Full Version + Omaha Small Stakes or Omaha Full Version + Holdem Small Stakes)

8. If I upgrade to HM3, will I lose my HM2 hand histories?
You WILL NOT lose your HM2 hand histories.
HM3 has an automated tool to migrate hand histories, notes, player ratings, etc. from your HM2 database. Cash game players and the vast majority of tournament players use this tool rather than manually uploading their hand histories into HM3.
